about my fanfic

Now, I’m thinking that I want to write a fanfic of Stephan Baxter’s “Inherit the earth” (1999).

The story strongly connects to Christianity, but I’m not a Christian and do not know the detail of Christianity. Although I’m very interested in it and am learning the bible now (just reading the Genesis so far???), I cannot even make sense the relation between the old testament and the new testament at this moment. Therefore, people who are Christian or are well-informed in the detail probably cannot make sense for my story, or more, there is possibility that they resent my story. However, please overlook it because this is my one step to understand about Christianity and is just mere wind.
